Users must be at least 12 and not older than 20 before they can become a member and participate in the forum areas. On the other hand, anyone can visit the “Speak Out” section and fill out a survey. Some of the recent topics include TV viewing habits, leisure time activities, and more. Members can even write their own surveys.

The “Express Yourself” section of the site encourages smart girls to send in their own poetry, stories — even love letters — to share with others. There’s a creative writing “assignment” every month, such as “Tell us about your future job, and use the following big vocabulary words.”

Teens can also submit their own reviews of books, movies, TV shows, websites, and even beauty products. Find out what smart girls say about everything from the best sanitary pad to the coolest lip-gloss!
