Christmas Prayer

Christ Jesus, I thank you for coming into the world
as a child like me,
weak yet strong
poor yet rich
full of hope, love, and live,
to be a light for the world,
Born with a purpose
to do God’s will.
Help me to be more like You.

It’s Christmas Day
We have no tree.
We have no home of our own.
We have no new toys or clothes.
Mom says the bike and wagon and coat I wanted so much
will have to wait awhile.
But we still have each other.
We sing together.
Pray together.
We hug and love each other.
We are thankful we are alive and
have hope for the future
because of You, our
Savior born today.

Prayers For Special Occasions Thanksgiving

O God
I thank you You for this place called home
for family, food, fellowship, and fun
for the freedom to pray, sing, and gather together
to celebrate Your Goodness as one.

I thank you for our land and all those who people it
for Native Americans who loved, respected, and protected the earth
for pilgrims who came in search of freedom to worship
for immigrants who came in search of freedom to worship
for immigrants who came in search of freedom to speak their beliefs
for those who came against their will but who adopted and worked
to achieve America’s dream as their own.

Google (Topeka)

I think that April Fools has fooled everyone on this morning of 4/1/2010. I just can’t believe how I woke up this morning expecting Google to be a Google logo on the homepage. Giving a thought or two I went onto Google and I saw “Topeka.” I was just stunned at the article written about why Google changed their logo to Topeka. I was so surprised because to me it seemed like it was real. So, I took a picture and sent a text to my mom from my cell to tell her that Google changed their logo to Topeka. My mom chuckled on the phone, then proceeded and said,”Jada did you forget that it was April fools?” I started to go nuts realizing that it was April Fool’s and Google was just making a joke. Ha ha ha, to Google. I was really spastic because I thought it was fun. Here is the logo below of what it looked like on 4/1/2010.

Nelson Mandela’s 90th B-day

The day before his Birthday dinner and concert benefit on June 25, 2008, Nelson Mandela and his wife, Graca Machel, were guests of Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. Mandela is spending one week in London in honor of his birthday, July 18.

Nelson was known for wonderful things. Nelson was known for being democratically-elected President of South America. Also he was an South African civil rights leader. He is in major history and almost 99% know who he is in America. Mandela is a great person that over a million people were at his concert and sang happy  birthday to him in front of national t.v. During the event he had broken into tears and everyone cheered for him that he had made it in life so long he deserves that kind of birthday. So please people out there help celebrate his birthday out of love and heart for everything he’s done in the known.
