O God,
Someone I loved died today.
I pray You will wrap him in your arms and wipe his pain away.
I’ll miss him so but know he’s secure in the love of You who made him.
Tell him I love him and will try hard to be as good as he taught me to be when he was here.
Grant to his soul peace and eternal rest.

Lord, please help people not to
see me as a shadow
of my mother and father.
I have my own light.
I have my own mind.
I have my own dreams.
I have my own gifts.

Prayer For Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hated, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

O LORD, our sovereign,
how majestic is your name
in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of babes
and infants
you have founded a bulwark
because of your foes,
to silence the enemy
and the avenger.
When I look at your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars
that you have established;
what are human beings that you
are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them?
Yet you have made them
a little lower than God,
and crowned them
with glory and honor.
You have given them dominion
over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under
their feet,
all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air,
and the fish
of the sea,
whatever passes along
the paths of the seas.
